REVIEWS

I grew up in Pacific Grove, so I was anxious to read this. The author obviously knows P.G. very well. Even the setting for the nursery was believable. I read one of her other books, "Spider in the Attic," and I enjoy the complexity of her plots. I recommend this book and "Spider" as well. - Sandy Hughes, Auburn, CA

This is a clever who-done-it. Steele spins an intricate mystery tale encompassing horticulture, genealogy and good old knocking on doors detective work. Her writing style is very clean and her characters are quite real. A very enjoyable story! - Chris Martelli, Tacoma, WA

What a surprise! Years ago I lived near the author in Pacific Grove where the story takes place. I recommend this book. It's got great characters, a terrific sense of place, and an intriguing mystery, complete with genealogical details about all the characters. Which one did the deed? Read it and find out! - Suzanne Farreid, Santa Cruz, CA
